On February 26, Mercedes-Benz China and autonomous driving company Momenta signed an upgraded Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Beijing, marking a new phase in their strategic partnership. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, currently on a visit to China, accompanied by Ola Källenius, Chairman of the Board of Management of Mercedes-Benz Group, took a test ride in the new-generation S-Class sedan equipped with the jointly developed intelligent driver assistance system and gave it high praise. Since Mercedes-Benz first invested in Momenta in 2017, the two companies have deeply integrated Mercedes-Benz’s safety standards with Momenta’s AI algorithm expertise to develop an all-scenario intelligent navigation system covering highways, urban roads, and parking scenarios. Emphasizing a “human-machine co-driving” approach, the system aims to enhance both comfort and safety. It has already been introduced on the all-new electric CLA and will be rolled out this year across nine additional Mercedes-Benz models, including the all-electric long-wheelbase GLC SUV and the S-Class, propelling the brand into an era of advanced intelligent driver assistance.
