On February 27, NIO announced that the all-new ES8 achieved its 70,000th delivery in Wenzhou. In January this year, the model recorded retail sales of 17,645 units, securing the top spot for two consecutive months as the best-selling large SUV and the best-selling vehicle priced above RMB 400,000. Launched on September 20, 2023, the all-new ES8 is available in three variants, with battery purchase prices ranging from RMB 406,800 to RMB 446,800—significantly lower than the previous generation. With the Battery as a Service (BaaS) subscription option, the starting price drops to just RMB 298,800. The new ES8 surpassed 10,000 deliveries within only 41 days of its launch, setting a record for the fastest delivery milestone among all-electric vehicles priced above RMB 400,000. As a full-size all-electric SUV, the ES8 continues to enjoy strong sales despite having no fuel tank, reflecting robust market demand for premium electric vehicles. According to data from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM) and the Passenger Car Association (CPCA), sales of large three-row all-electric SUVs reached 46,209 units in November 2025, up 16% month-over-month. This segment has outperformed range-extended, plug-in hybrid, and gasoline-powered models for three consecutive months, becoming the leader in its category and marking the official dawn of the golden era for large three-row all-electric SUVs.
