On February 28, the first spy shots of Xiaomi Auto's debut large-range extended SUV, the YU9, were revealed with light camouflage. The vehicle carries forward Xiaomi’s family design language, featuring vertical taillights and frameless teardrop-shaped side mirrors. With an overall length exceeding 5.2 meters and a height of approximately 1.8 meters, the YU9 is positioned as a premium six- or seven-seater SUV priced between RMB 300,000 and RMB 500,000. It is equipped with an 80 kWh battery pack, offering an estimated pure-electric range of over 400 km, while its range-extender architecture caters to both daily commuting and long-distance travel. The YU9 has already completed road testing in Xinjiang and extreme cold-weather testing at minus 25°C, and is expected to officially launch in the second half of 2026.
