GAC Aion announced that the new version of the AION i60 will officially launch on March 2, featuring GAC’s newly developed Xingyuan range-extender system. Positioned with an “entry-level price and premium experience,” the model is expected to lower the threshold for range-extended vehicles. The new variant retains the current model’s dimensions (4,685 mm long, 1,854 mm wide, 1,660 mm tall, with a 2,775 mm wheelbase) and features semi-recessed door handles and a full-width light bar. Inside, the cabin offers heated, ventilated, and massaging seats, a heated steering wheel, and rear seatbacks that recline up to 137 degrees. It also includes a foldable tray table on the right side and seven magnetic expansion ports. Powertrain options include both all-electric and range-extended variants. The range-extended version is equipped with a 1.5L range extender delivering a maximum output of 85 kW.
