Pudong New Area Launches Car Purchase Subsidy on March 15, Up to ¥5,000

Pudong New Area will launch a new round of automobile consumption subsidies on March 15, 2026. Individual consumers who purchase eligible new vehicles in Pudong New Area on or after March 1, 2026, can apply for a district-level subsidy of up to RMB 5,000. A total of 15,000 subsidy quotas will be available on a first-come, first-served basis until exhausted. The subsidy amounts are tiered according to the vehicle’s tax-inclusive price: RMB 2,000 for vehicles priced from RMB 100,000 (inclusive) to RMB 250,000 (exclusive); RMB 4,000 for vehicles priced from RMB 250,000 (inclusive) to RMB 400,000 (exclusive); and RMB 5,000 for vehicles priced at RMB 400,000 or above. The vehicle price will be determined based on the "Uniform Invoice for Motor Vehicle Sales."
