On March 2, Gotion High-Tech revealed that the design work for its 2GWh mass production line for all-solid-state batteries has been largely completed. Previously, at the Global Tech Conference in May 2023, the company had already established a 0.2GWh pilot production line for all-solid-state batteries, achieving 100% in-house development of the production line and localization of core equipment, while securing over 30 related patents. The pilot samples feature a cell energy density of 350 Wh/kg and a single-cell capacity of 70 Ah, and have now entered vehicle integration testing. Additionally, Gotion High-Tech has launched its "G-Yuan" quasi-solid-state battery—a prismatic cell with a single-unit capacity of 197 Ah, delivering a cell energy density exceeding 300 Wh/kg and a system-level energy density above 235 Wh/kg, representing an improvement of more than 36% compared to conventional liquid-electrolyte battery systems of the same volume.
