DiDi Autonomous Driving recently announced the establishment of the "DiDi Voyager Labs" and has entered into a deep industry-academia-research collaboration with Professor Li Shengbo's research group at Tsinghua University's School of Vehicle and Mobility. The two parties will jointly advance breakthroughs and industrial implementation of end-to-end autonomous driving technologies, focusing on cutting-edge areas such as multimodal large models, world models, and reinforcement learning. Operating under a model of "physical operations + shared resources + joint research," the lab aims to create an integrated new paradigm spanning "research–engineering–commercialization." DiDi will open its real-world scenarios and industrial-grade computing power to universities, while Tsinghua University will contribute foundational research and talent support to accelerate the engineering translation of scientific achievements. Zhang Bo, CEO of DiDi Autonomous Driving, stated that large models are becoming the core driving force behind autonomous driving technology iteration. He added that the lab will serve as an open innovation platform, continuously attracting top-tier research talent to advance intelligent mobility.
