Lu Tian, General Manager of BYD Dynasty Network Sales Division, recently announced that the Dynasty series' first D-segment flagship SUV—the "Tang" (named "Datang")—will make its official debut on March 5. The new SUV measures over 5.3 meters in length with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm and features a seven-seat layout, positioning it as a full-size luxury SUV. In terms of design, the vehicle sports a burgundy body paired with a silver-gray roof, full-width LED light bar, flush door handles, and multi-spoke alloy wheels, delivering a bold yet modern aesthetic. Powertrain-wise, the all-electric version is built on BYD’s advanced e-Platform 3.0 Evo, supporting a full-domain 1,000V high-voltage architecture, 10C ultra-fast charging batteries, and peak charging power of up to 1,000 kW. For intelligent features, the roof is equipped with LiDAR, and the vehicle is expected to come with BYD’s premium “God’s Eye B” advanced driver-assistance system, enabling urban and highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot) as well as full-scenario automated parking. It also features the Cloud Ride-A air suspension system and rear-wheel steering, directly competing against large SUVs from traditional luxury brands.
