At today's Harmony Intelligent Mobility Technology Refresh Launch Event at 14:30, Huawei unveiled its next-generation LiDAR system, which will debut on the AITO M9 and the Luxeed S800. The new LiDAR features 500-line resolution with hardware capable of supporting future upgrades to 1,000 lines, significantly increasing point cloud density. Its detection capabilities have been greatly enhanced, enabling precise identification of low-profile obstacles—such as disabled vehicles, puddles, and even overturned motorcycles—at distances up to 200 meters, while maintaining reliable perception in adverse conditions like rain, fog, and nighttime. Deeply integrated into existing intelligent driving systems, the new LiDAR enhances predictive and decision-making capabilities in complex traffic scenarios, providing critical hardware support for the large-scale commercial deployment of Level 3 autonomous driving. As best-selling models in their respective segments, both vehicles now gain further competitive edge.
