Kia Vietnam has recently adjusted its K3 model lineup, officially discontinuing the 2.0 Premium variant. Previously priced at approximately RMB 187,000 (VND 639 million), this version sold only 1,682 units throughout 2025, reflecting weak market performance. Currently, the K3 in Vietnam is offered exclusively in three 1.6-liter variants: Luxury, Premium, and Turbo GT. Both the original 1.6 MT and the 2.0 Premium have been removed from the lineup. The official website’s technical specifications page now displays only two configurations: the 1.6 Luxury and the 1.6 Turbo. This adjustment reflects shifting consumer preferences toward smaller-displacement, turbocharged, and more versatile vehicles, as demand for traditional 2.0L naturally aspirated sedans continues to decline. Although Kia Vietnam has not issued an official statement, the updated product catalog combined with sales data indicates a systematic strategic optimization—potentially paving the way for the next-generation K3.
