Li Shufu, Chairman of Geely Auto and a member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), stated on March 4 during the Fourth Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee that the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry should abandon cutthroat, inward-focused competition and shift toward intrinsic, high-quality development. He emphasized that Geely will not simply engage in price wars; instead, while maintaining cost and pricing advantages, the company will focus its competitive efforts on technology, quality, service, brand, and corporate ethics. Li reiterated that enterprises must uphold core values, implement ESG principles, reject opportunistic shortcuts and "Great Leap Forward"-style growth, and avoid blindly chasing short-term sales targets. This stance aligns consistently with his position expressed in Geely’s 2025 New Year address, underscoring the company’s commitment to high-quality, sustainable development.
