BYD Seagull 08 Makes Global Debut Tomorrow: 1,000km Range, 400km in 5-Minute Fast Charge

BYD's Ocean Network flagship sedan, the Seagull 08, will make its global debut on March 5. The new model carries forward the design language of the Ocean-S concept car, featuring a closed-off front fascia, elongated headlights, a raised hood, and a roof-mounted LiDAR system—highlighting its sporty character while enabling advanced intelligent driving assistance capabilities. Built on an 800V high-voltage platform, the Seagull 08 is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and Megawatt Flash Charging technology, delivering approximately 400 km of range with just a 5-minute charge and a potential combined range exceeding 1,000 km. Additionally, a rear-wheel steering system enhances handling agility. As one of the "Ocean Series 8 Twin Flagships," the Seagull 08 is positioned as a mid-to-large-sized coupe sedan and is scheduled to officially launch in Q1 2026.
