Despite ongoing online debates over the pricing and performance of the all-new Honda Prelude, its actual sales have remained steady. In the first two months of 2026, Honda sold 515 Preludes in the U.S., matching its main rival, the Subaru BRZ. In February alone, 299 Preludes were sold—slightly ahead of the BRZ’s 277 units. Although trailing the Mazda MX-5, which recorded 725 sales over the same period, the Prelude is already approaching Honda’s target monthly sales range of 300 to 400 units. With the spring buying season now underway, sales are expected to continue climbing, making the annual target of 4,000 units achievable. Media reviews from test drives praise the Prelude for striking a balance between everyday practicality and driving enjoyment, noting that market reception has exceeded expectations.
