GAC Hyper has officially launched its new mid-to-large-size extended-range sedan, the A800, offering four variants priced from RMB 164,800 to RMB 274,800 after subsidies. Measuring over 5.1 meters in length with a 3,020 mm wheelbase, the A800 comes standard across all trims with a 1.5T range-extender system and a 35 kWh battery, delivering up to 220 km of CLTC pure-electric range and a combined range of 1,140 km. All models feature Huawei’s HarmonyOS Cockpit 5, with higher trims supporting Huawei’s ADS 4.1 advanced driver-assistance system. The top-tier “Intelligent Flagship” variant debuts globally with four 896-line LiDAR units—the same units used on the premium Hongqi S800—and includes a tri-motor powertrain (598 hp), air suspension, and a configurable 2+1 rear seating layout. The second-highest “Premium” trim retains the ADS 4.1 system but features only one LiDAR unit and uses a single rear-mounted motor. Starting at RMB 164,800, the entry-level “Smart Luxury” version forgoes LiDAR but still offers the HarmonyOS Cockpit, a 21-speaker audio system, and a high-quality chassis setup, delivering exceptional value for money.
