On March 2, XPeng Inc. announced it will roll out its second-generation Vision-Language-Action (VLA) integrated system this month and plans to launch three Robotaxi models in 2026, initiating pilot operations in cities including Guangzhou in collaboration with AutoNavi. The company is actively transforming its accumulated expertise in Level 2 (L2) autonomous driving into globally competitive Level 4 (L4) capabilities, while strategically expanding into emerging areas of advanced productivity such as intelligent vehicles, embodied intelligence, and the low-altitude economy. XPeng founder He Xiaopeng recommended optimizing the regulatory framework for autonomous driving classifications and establishing clear registration and road-use rules for L4 vehicles. Additionally, the company outlined plans to mass-produce its next-generation IRON robot and proposed development initiatives in embodied intelligence and the low-altitude economy, aiming to accelerate technological implementation and industrial synergy.
