Porsche will publicly unveil the one-of-a-kind, custom-built Carrera GT SC sports car for the first time this weekend at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. The vehicle was meticulously restored and lightly modified by the Sport Canepa team, based on an original Carrera GT, in a six-month project. The engineering team completely disassembled and reassembled the car, comprehensively upgrading factory components. Modifications include fitting high-performance KW springs, adding a hydraulic lift system to improve ground clearance, and refining the car’s notoriously tricky ceramic clutch for smoother power delivery and easier drivability. This unique Carrera GT SC retains its classic character while integrating modern practical enhancements.
