On March 5, BYD unveiled its second-generation Blade Battery and Flash Charging technology. Starting immediately, owners of all Flash Charging-enabled vehicles equipped with this battery will enjoy one year of free flash charging service from the date of vehicle delivery. After the free period ends, urban charging fees will be RMB 0.3 per kWh, and highway charging fees will be RMB 0.7 per kWh, with detailed pricing to be officially announced later. Additionally, BYD has launched its "Dream Station Initiative": if four or more Flash Charging vehicle owners in the same area submit a request, the company will install a charging station within one week, provided conditions permit—the process is as simple as installing an air conditioner. Notably, BYD’s Flash Charging stations will be open to all electric vehicles, regardless of brand.
