On March 5, BYD unveiled the 2026 models of the Yangwang U7, U8, and U8L Dingshi Edition at its launch event for the second-generation Blade Battery and Flash Charging technology. The starting prices are RMB 658,000, RMB 1,008,000, and RMB 1,300,000, respectively. All three models feature the second-generation Blade Battery and Flash Charging technology. The U7 delivers a CLTC-rated all-electric range of 1,006 kilometers and over 1,300 horsepower, and is available with two chassis systems: Yun Nian-Z and Yun Nian-A. The U8 includes 12 comfort enhancements, equipped with an upgraded Yun Nian-P Plus intelligent hydraulic body control system, achieving a 20.5% increase in combined driving range and tripled charging efficiency. The U8L adds three new features: emergency amphibious mode with automatic activation, NOA-enabled stable driving and stopping during tire blowouts, and comprehensive privacy and security across all scenarios—all of which are also available to existing owners via OTA updates.
