On March 5, BYD officially launched its new full-size SUV—the Tang Dynasty. Measuring nearly 5.3 meters in length with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm, the vehicle features a 2+2+3 seven-seat layout. The production model closely mirrors the design of the Dynasty-D concept car and is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery and Megawatt Flash Charging technology, enabling a 5-minute rapid charge or a full charge in just 9 minutes. The all-electric variant delivers a CLTC-rated range of up to 950 kilometers. Powertrain options include both all-electric and plug-in hybrid variants. The all-electric AWD version achieves a 0–100 km/h acceleration time as fast as 3.9 seconds, while the plug-in hybrid model is powered by BYD’s sixth-generation DM system. Standard across all trims are rear-wheel steering, the Yunniu-P intelligent hydraulic suspension, and the "Sky God’s Eye" advanced driver-assistance system. Inside, the cabin features a triple-screen setup—comprising a digital instrument cluster, central infotainment display, and front passenger entertainment screen—alongside a head-up display (HUD). Chinese-style wood trim accents further enhance the vehicle’s premium ambiance.
