Dongfeng Nissan has officially announced that pre-sales for its all-new midsize five-seater SUV, the NX8, will soon commence. Positioned as a "smart, comfortable, and spacious five-seater SUV in the RMB 200,000 segment," the NX8 rolled off the production line in January this year. It will be available in both all-electric and range-extended variants, both built on an 800V silicon carbide platform and equipped with CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries supporting 5C ultra-fast charging. The NX8 features a closed-off front fascia, full-width daytime running lights, a floating roof, and a 2.4-meter OLED “Star Ring” taillight housing 2,064 individual lighting units. The vehicle measures 4,870 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,917 mm. In terms of powertrains, the range-extended version combines a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine (109 kW) with an electric motor (195 kW), while the all-electric variant offers either a 215 kW or a 250 kW single-motor configuration.
