On March 4, 2026, Yangzhou Dongsheng Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Automotive Engineering Research Institute Co., Ltd. (China Automotive Technology & Research Center, or "CAERI") to jointly establish the "Strategic Cooperation Laboratory for Automotive Parts Testing." This move marks a significant leap forward in Dongsheng's R&D and testing capabilities and propels China's automotive parts industry into a new phase of collaborative innovation in testing and evaluation. Since its establishment in 2003, Dongsheng has continuously increased its R&D investment, building a comprehensive, full-stack technical system covering materials, components, and systems. In 2024, the company obtained CNAS 17025 laboratory accreditation. Through this partnership, Dongsheng will leverage CAERI’s national-level platform to accelerate technological breakthroughs in cutting-edge fields such as intelligent suspension systems and magnetorheological (MR) dampers. To date, Dongsheng has independently developed four types of MR fluids, with key performance metrics reaching internationally advanced levels. The company plans to begin mass production and vehicle integration of these products in the first half of this year. Dongsheng aims to become China’s leading and a globally top-tier enterprise in MR damping systems within three years.
