At its 2026 Dealer Summit, SAIC-GM announced that over the next three years, it will launch more than ten new or refreshed models annually, covering various powertrain options including battery-electric and plug-in hybrid variants. The year 2026 will be a major product launch year for the company. Among these, the Buick Electra E5 Pure Electric Edition will officially debut on March 17, offering a CLTC-rated range of up to 632 km, support for 640 kW ultra-fast charging (adding over 400 km of range in just 10 minutes), and a cabin featuring Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8775 chip with an eight-screen interactive system. Two additional models from the same Electra family—the Electra L7 pure electric version and the midsize SUV Electra E7—will also launch within the year. The Electra E7 is equipped with the “Zhenlong PHEV Pro” system, delivering a combined range exceeding 1,600 km, along with LiDAR and L2++ advanced driver-assistance capabilities. Cadillac’s new all-electric flagship SUV, named "Kaiwei De," will go on sale at the end of April, available in a six-seat configuration and a dual-motor AWD variant. Furthermore, SAIC-GM plans to roll out L3-level intelligent driving technology by 2027, has already initiated preliminary research on L4-level systems, and will invest over RMB 10 billion in developing a new generation of premium MPVs.
