Jake, a salesperson who claims to be the top Kia seller in his region, recently shared a detailed breakdown of his monthly earnings on TikTok. In a sales district covering 19 dealerships across Texas, he sold 33 vehicles in one month, earning commissions (25% of front-end profit), performance bonuses, and customer satisfaction incentives—totaling $18,830.25. Of this amount, $3,000 came from hitting his sales target, and an additional $2,350 was earned through perfect customer satisfaction scores. He also revealed that if he sells 15 new vehicles next month, he’ll qualify for Kia’s “Platinum” tier incentive, which adds an extra $70 per vehicle. While some online commenters argue that the high-intensity workload doesn’t justify the pay, industry data shows that top-performing car salespeople can earn annual incomes ranging from $150,000 to $180,000.
