According to a notice from the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), domestic gasoline and diesel prices will increase by RMB 695 and RMB 670 per tonne, respectively, effective at 24:00 on March 9. On a national average basis, prices for Grade 92 gasoline, Grade 95 gasoline, and Grade 0 diesel will rise by RMB 0.55, RMB 0.58, and RMB 0.55 per liter, respectively. For a typical passenger car with a 50-liter fuel tank, filling up with Grade 92 gasoline will cost approximately RMB 27.5 more. This adjustment is primarily driven by recent upward volatility in international oil prices and marks another refined oil price revision since 2026.
