The all-new Ford Mustang Dark Horse SC is set to join the Mustang lineup, powered by a supercharged 5.2-liter V8 engine producing a maximum output of 815 horsepower. According to a leaked dealer memo, the base model is expected to start at $103,490, plus an additional $3,000 "gas-guzzler" tax and a $1,995 destination fee. The version equipped with the Track Pack is priced at $139,990, while the Special Edition climbs to $170,970 (both excluding additional fees). By comparison, the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 starts at $122,795 (including fees) but delivers only 670 horsepower, and the previous-generation Shelby GT500 had an inflation-adjusted starting price of approximately $97,000. Despite its premium pricing, the Dark Horse SC’s cost may be justifiable given its performance advantage over rivals. Ford has not yet confirmed these prices, so caution is advised.
