CATL Reports 2025 Revenue Over RMB 420 Billion, Net Profit Surges 42.3%

On March 9, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) released its 2025 financial report, reporting annual revenue of RMB 423.7 billion, up 17% year-over-year, and attributable net profit of RMB 72.2 billion, a substantial increase of 42.3% compared to the previous year. As the global leader in both power and energy storage batteries, CATL accounted for 39.2% of global EV battery installations and 30.4% of global energy storage battery shipments in 2025—marking its ninth consecutive year and fifth consecutive year, respectively, at the top of the global rankings. The battery industry as a whole experienced strong momentum in 2025, with steady growth in demand for EV batteries and energy storage markets exceeding expectations. Notably, capacity utilization rates rose significantly in the second half of the year, with leading companies operating at near-full capacity in Q4, and some orders already booked into 2026—highlighting robust market demand.
