In response to reports that the new-generation Zeekr 007 GT will launch in Q2 and may see a price increase, Zeekr Automobile stated on March 10 that the final pricing has not yet been confirmed and will be determined after comprehensive evaluation of multiple factors. Earlier rumors suggested that due to rising costs of upstream raw materials and core components, the vehicle’s price could increase by RMB 5,000 to 8,000. The updated 007 GT is expected to feature the NVIDIA DRIVE Thor-U chip and a 900V high-voltage architecture, utilize the rarer DDR5X memory, and face higher overall production costs driven by surging lithium ore prices. Positioned as a “tech-oriented shooting brake coupe,” the model supports 500kW ultra-fast charging, delivering over 500 km of range in just 15 minutes. The current version starts at RMB 202,900. Notably, Chery’s Exeed ET5 raised its prices on March 5, becoming the first model this year to hike prices amid a generally competitive market, citing chip-related cost pressures as a key factor. Meanwhile, most automakers continue offering significant discounts to capture market share.
