Hongqi Achieves Breakthrough with First Semi-Solid Magnesium Alloy Seat Frame

FAW Group's first self-developed semi-solid injection-molded magnesium alloy seat frame assembly has been successfully installed on Hongqi brand vehicles and has passed multiple functional adjustment tests. Made from lightweight magnesium alloy, this seat frame represents a significant technological achievement for Hongqi in automotive lightweighting. The project is now entering the strength and durability bench testing and full-vehicle testing phases, marking a critical step forward in Hongqi’s application of magnesium alloys and lightweighting technologies and laying the foundation for future mass production.
