Renault Group recently unveiled its new Bridger concept car, showcasing a fresh direction under its "futuREady" strategy. This compact SUV—under four meters long and featuring a boxy silhouette—is positioned as an "urban explorer," offering 200 mm of ground clearance and an externally mounted spare tire, though it is not designed as a hardcore off-roader. Built on a modular platform, the Bridger will eventually be available with three powertrain options: internal combustion, hybrid, and all-electric. It boasts a 400-liter trunk capacity and 200 mm of rear knee room, which Renault claims leads its segment. The vehicle is expected to debut in India by the end of 2027, with rollout to other markets beginning in 2028. Although currently a concept, its rugged design is anticipated to be largely retained in the production version.
