On the earnings call held on March 10, NIO founder William Li stated that despite downward pressure on China's passenger vehicle market in the first quarter of this year, battery electric vehicles (BEVs) continued to show strong growth. He revealed that NIO will launch three new models this year: the flagship SUV ES9 (to be unveiled on April 9), a new five-seater SUV based on the updated ES8 platform (scheduled for launch in Q3), and the Onvo L80 (set for Q2 launch). Together with the Onvo L90 and the all-new ES8, these models will form a lineup of five mid-to-large-size or larger SUVs. Additionally, the "5566 series" (referring to the EC6, ET5, ET5 Touring, and ES6) will receive minor updates, including new features such as a blue indicator light for advanced driver-assistance systems and zero-gravity seats. Li emphasized that NIO’s product rollout aligns well with market trends and expressed being “very confident” about achieving a 40%–50% year-over-year sales growth target for the full year. In 2025, NIO delivered 326,000 vehicles, up 46.9% year-over-year, setting new records for both revenue and gross profit, and achieved its first-ever quarterly profit in Q4.
