The Voyah Taishan X8, a new five-seat large SUV from Voyah, will make its official debut on March 19. This highly anticipated model marks a deep collaboration between Voyah and Huawei, featuring the same four Huawei LiDAR units found on the Aito M9. It debuts Huawei’s next-generation intelligent cockpit and the Qiankun ADS intelligent driving solution, complemented by ultrasonic radar sensors. The vehicle has already been registered with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). It measures 5,200 mm in length, 2,025 mm in width, and 1,814 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,090 mm—slightly smaller than the current Taishan model. Exterior design follows Voyah’s family styling language, highlighted by a closed-off front grille, semi-flush door handles, full-width taillights, and 22-inch wheels. Powering the Taishan X8 is a 1.5T plug-in hybrid system, with the engine delivering a maximum output of 110 kW. Two motor configurations are available: a front motor rated at 150 kW paired with a rear motor rated at either 215 kW or 230 kW.
