UK-based autonomous driving company Wayve has partnered with Uber and Nissan Motor to launch a pilot program for autonomous ride-hailing services in Tokyo, Japan, aiming for deployment by the end of this year. The collaboration combines Wayve’s AI-driven autonomous driving technology, Uber’s mobility platform operational expertise, and Nissan’s vehicle manufacturing experience, with the goal of advancing the real-world application of Level 4 autonomous driving services in Japan.
