On March 12, BYD launched a large-scale spring recruitment drive at its Ebu and Xiaomo campuses in the Shenshan Special Cooperation Zone, planning to hire over 2,000 workers. This includes more than 1,000 production operators (with monthly salaries ranging from RMB 5,500 to 6,500) and over 1,100 skilled technicians—such as electricians, welders, and CNC operators holding relevant certifications—with monthly wages between RMB 5,000 and 10,000. Meanwhile, its Xi’an factory is also recruiting over 100 personnel concurrently. The Shenshan manufacturing base commenced operations in March 2024 with a total investment exceeding RMB 31.5 billion. It has established a complete industrial chain covering battery, motor, and vehicle manufacturing, with an annual vehicle production capacity nearing 290,000 units by 2025. As Phases III and IV of the project progress, labor demand is surging sharply. Currently, BYD employs over 900,000 people globally, including more than 120,000 R&D staff. In the first three quarters of 2025, the company reported revenue of RMB 566.266 billion and global sales of 3.26 million vehicles, with overseas sales soaring 132% year-on-year. The industry’s rapid growth has widened the labor gap, making skilled new energy technicians highly sought-after talent.
