On March 10, China Automotive Parts Technology (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. and Chenzhi Automotive Technology Group signed an agreement in Chongqing to deepen their strategic cooperation. This marks another collaboration between China Automotive Technology & Research Center (CATARC) and Changan Automobile following their initial partnership in October 2025, accelerating the implementation of business operations in Southwest China. The two parties will focus on research into standards and policies, application of technological innovation, and R&D and testing of core automotive components. They plan to jointly build and share laboratories, introduce authoritative technical service resources, and enhance the core competitiveness of their supply chain. In February this year, China Automotive Parts Technology established a wholly-owned subsidiary in Chongqing, focusing on four key areas: body systems, chassis, physical and chemical materials, and intelligent electrical components. The company is also building an intelligent logistics system to serve the broader automotive industry in Southwest China. As a key initiative in the opening year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan period, this collaboration aims to support Chongqing in developing a world-class cluster for intelligent connected new energy vehicles and advance the high-quality development of China’s automotive industry.
