Rivian announced that its all-new electric SUV, the R2, will debut this spring with the top-trim R2 Performance variant, starting at $57,990. The model features a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system, delivering up to 656 horsepower and accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.6 seconds, with an estimated range exceeding 300 miles. Standard equipment includes 21-inch wheels, semi-active suspension, and yellow brake calipers. The mid-tier R2 Premium ($53,990) and the long-range R2 Standard ($47,900) will follow in early 2027, while the originally announced entry-level version priced at $45,000 won’t arrive until late 2027. The R2 boasts a compact footprint, 9.6 inches of ground clearance, and capable approach and departure angles for off-road driving. Its cargo space measures 28.7 cubic feet behind the rear seats and expands to 90.1 cubic feet with the seats folded down.
