WeRide and Pony.ai recently announced that their Robotaxi (autonomous ride-hailing) services have officially integrated into the "Tencent Mobility Services" mini program. Starting immediately, users in Guangzhou can hail an autonomous vehicle nearby and complete payment directly within WeChat—without needing to download a separate app—by navigating to "Me > Services > Mobility Services" and entering their pickup and drop-off locations. The service is expected to launch soon on the Tencent Maps app and gradually expand to more cities. Currently, WeRide operates fully driverless commercial services in Guangzhou and Beijing, with a global fleet exceeding 1,000 vehicles. Pony.ai has deployed over 1,000 autonomous vehicles across Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, and collaborates with platforms including Tencent Cloud, Amap, and Ruiqi Mobility. This integration into WeChat’s ecosystem is poised to accelerate the large-scale commercialization of Robotaxi services.
