The General Office of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently launched the selection process for the first batch of National Demonstration Bases for Emerging Industries. This initiative focuses on ten key sectors: artificial intelligence, intelligent connected new-energy vehicles, advanced energy storage manufacturing, clean and low-carbon hydrogen, biomanufacturing, intelligent robotics, low-altitude equipment, commercial space, safety and emergency response equipment, and software. Applicants fall into two categories: 1) Industrial parks that are domestically leading in cluster development and industrial ecosystem, with emerging industries as their core focus; and 2) Independent legal entities whose primary business falls within the aforementioned sectors and who demonstrate domestic leadership in technological innovation and management efficiency. This move aims to accelerate the cultivation of new quality productive forces and promote high-quality development of emerging industries.
