Since its market launch in August 2025, the Xiaomi YU7 has enjoyed sustained strong sales. In February 2026, it sold 20,196 units, marking the sixth consecutive month at the top of the mid-to-large SUV sales rankings and securing a spot among the top three best-selling passenger vehicles nationwide. In January 2026 alone, the model claimed the overall passenger vehicle sales crown across all segments with 37,869 units delivered. Just six months after its debut, cumulative deliveries have already surpassed 200,000 units. In response to external claims labeling the YU7 as a “BBA 34C killer,” Pan Jiutang, Partner at Xiaomi Industrial Investment, stated that Xiaomi Auto does not target any specific brand but instead focuses squarely on user needs and product strength. He noted that Xiaomi car owners generally enjoy solid financial standing and hold high expectations for products—any shortcomings would first draw criticism from their own user base. Currently, however, user satisfaction remains high. Pan emphasized that today’s consumers prioritize the product itself over traditional luxury branding.
