Elon Musk recently announced that Tesla and its AI subsidiary xAI are collaborating on a new system called "Digital Optimus." Built around xAI's large language model, Grok, as its core "navigator," the system integrates Tesla's proprietary AI agents to analyze computer screen content in real time and autonomously perform keyboard and mouse operations—enabling tasks such as coding, content creation, and product testing. The project stems from Tesla's $2 billion investment in xAI in January this year and aims to simulate the full operational workflows of various departments within a software company. In the future, "Digital Optimus" is also expected to achieve hardware-software synergy with Tesla's humanoid robot, Optimus. U.S. media outlets noted that if successful, the project could disrupt traditional software service providers that rely heavily on manual operations.
