On March 13, the iCAR V27 officially launched with a price range of RMB 169,800 to RMB 196,800. As the brand’s new rugged SUV, it debuts Horizon Robotics’ HSD (Horizon Smart Driving) full-scenario advanced driver-assistance system, marking another mass-production milestone for the company in high-level intelligent driving. Powered by Horizon’s Journey 6P chip—delivering 560 TOPS of computing power per unit—the V27 is equipped with 27 high-precision sensors, including LiDAR, enabling 360-degree environmental perception. The HSD system employs an end-to-end architecture, reacting 42% faster than human drivers. It supports complex road condition recognition and autonomous “roaming mode” path planning without reliance on high-definition maps, and has already undergone real-world testing in challenging urban environments such as Chongqing, Beijing, and Lijiang. The system achieves a 97% success rate in automated parking, completing maneuvers in an average of 32 seconds. This launch signifies that Horizon’s HSD now covers both urban commuting and off-road scenarios—truly enabling “city-to-wilderness” driving capabilities. To date, HSD has been selected by 10 global automakers for over 20 vehicle models, and Horizon’s Journey series chips have surpassed 10 million units in cumulative shipments.
