China's first autonomous micro-transit route dedicated to cross-border medical travel—"Qin-Ao Medical Line"—has recently commenced official operations. Powered by core technologies and vehicles provided by MOGO Autonomous Driving and Autonoma, the 7-kilometer route offers direct, two-way point-to-point service connecting Hengqin Port with the Hengqin Hospital affiliated with The First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University. During its trial operation phase, the service is free to the public. Residents of Hengqin and Macao can check real-time vehicle locations and scan a QR code to board via the "Qin Zhi Xing" mini-program, with the entire journey taking approximately 15 minutes. The service operates daily from 8:00–12:00 and 13:30–17:30, with buses departing every 30 minutes. It is reported that in 2023, over 20,000 Macao residents traveled to Hengqin Hospital for medical care, and this new route is expected to significantly enhance the convenience of cross-border healthcare transportation.
