On the evening of March 15, China Central Television’s annual "3·15 Gala" exposed multiple electric bicycles for violating speed regulations, naming a company affiliated with Sky Mobility. The report revealed that the top speeds of certain electric bikes significantly exceeded national standards. According to the upcoming "Safety Technical Specifications for Electric Bicycles," set to take effect in 2025, the maximum design speed of electric bicycles must not exceed 25 km/h, battery voltage must be no higher than 48 volts, and motor output power must be ≤400 watts. Additionally, public records show that the named company had only one employee enrolled in social insurance in 2024, raising questions about its compliance with business regulations.
