On March 16, tech company OMOWAY officially announced that the world’s first self-balancing electric motorcycle, OMOX, has entered mass production. Equipped with OMOWAY’s proprietary full-stack OMO-ROBOT system and integrating aerospace-grade high-precision Control Moment Gyro (CMG) technology, the OMOX can automatically maintain an upright position at low speeds or while stationary, significantly lowering the barrier to riding—especially beneficial for beginners and smaller-statured users. The OMOX also features a fully active safety system, offering millisecond-level responses for wet-surface traction control, cornering assistance, and emergency obstacle avoidance. Prior to its launch, the vehicle successfully demonstrated advanced balancing capabilities, including riding on a seesaw, and has already won the 2026 iF Design Award. Pre-orders for the OMOX will open in Indonesia at the end of April, with its official market launch scheduled for late May in Jakarta. Pricing and detailed specifications have not yet been disclosed. Concurrently, OMOWAY unveiled MobilityOne, a multi-functional wheeled robot built on the same core technology, expanding its applications into logistics and service sectors.
