Dongfeng Nissan’s first range-extended SUV, the NX8, will officially open for pre-sales on March 20, positioned as a “smart, comfortable, and spacious five-seater SUV in the RMB 200,000 segment.” The NX8 offers both all-electric and range-extended variants, both built on an 800V silicon carbide platform and equipped with CATL lithium iron phosphate batteries supporting 5C ultra-fast charging. The range-extended version features a 1.5T engine (109 kW) paired with a 195 kW electric motor, while the all-electric variant offers either a 215 kW or 250 kW single-motor configuration. Exterior highlights include a closed-off front fascia, full-width daytime running lights, a floating roof, and a 2.4-meter OLED “Star Ring” taillight housing 2,064 individual light units. Measuring 4,870 mm long, 1,920 mm wide, and 1,680 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,917 mm, the NX8 emphasizes a spacious five-seat layout. The vehicle rolled off the production line in January this year and represents a key product in Dongfeng Nissan’s electrification transformation strategy.
