On March 13, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the 405th batch of its new vehicle registration catalog, featuring several highly anticipated models including the BYD Tang DM-i, Shangjie Z7/Z7T, and others. The Tang DM-i, positioned as the flagship seven-seat SUV in BYD’s Dynasty series, is equipped with the fifth-generation DM-i hybrid system, Yunniu-A intelligent damping system, and a dual-chamber air suspension. The Shangjie Z7 series targets younger consumers with its mid-to-large pure-electric sedan offerings, available in both single- and dual-motor configurations. The updated Aito M9 features refreshed exterior styling and enhanced intelligent driving capabilities, powered by Huawei’s next-generation LiDAR. Models such as the Seagull 08 and Lynk & Co 10 EV are built on high-voltage platforms, supporting ultra-fast charging and advanced intelligent driving functions. Additionally, the Chery Fengyun A9 EV, MG4 X, Leapmotor A05/D99, and Changan Eado HEV also made their debut, collectively covering a price range from RMB 100,000 to RMB 500,000. Overall, the latest batch underscores the accelerating penetration of electrification and intelligent technologies into broader market segments, reflecting an increasingly diversified product portfolio.
