On March 16, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Ministry of Finance, and the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) jointly issued a notice titled "On Carrying Out Pilot Programs for Integrated Hydrogen Applications," specifying that pilot projects for integrated hydrogen applications should be submitted by city clusters as the primary applicants. The central government will provide a total of up to RMB 8 billion in demonstration incentives over four years. According to a research report from CITIC Securities, policy support for the hydrogen industry has continued to intensify this year, and the sector is expected to accelerate industrialization during the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" period (2026–2030). The report highlights strong prospects for operators of green hydrogen, ammonia, and methanol projects, manufacturers of electrolyzer equipment, and companies across the fuel cell vehicle supply chain.
