The Qijing GT7, a shooting brake model co-developed through deep collaboration between GAC Group and Huawei, will make its global debut on March 17 and is scheduled to officially launch in June. The vehicle features Huawei’s 896-line LiDAR, HarmonyOS Cockpit 5.0, and the XMC digital chassis, integrating Huawei’s intelligent technologies with GAC’s manufacturing expertise. The two companies have adopted an innovative partnership model, with Huawei engineers co-located alongside GAC’s team to jointly participate in product definition and decision-making. Feng Xingya, Chairman of GAC Group, emphasized that this project is critical to the group’s premiumization strategy and pledged to concentrate resources to ensure a successful market entry. The Qijing GT7 faces challenges including pricing, intelligent user experience, brand perception, and internal transformation. Its market performance will serve as a key test of whether the “Huawei technology + GAC manufacturing” model can win consumer acceptance.
