Bentley's first all-electric luxury urban SUV could be named "Barnato," honoring Woolf Barnato, a pivotal figure in the brand's history. In 1925, Barnato purchased his first Bentley, later acquired the company, and went on to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans three times driving the 4½ Litre and Speed Six models. According to CarScoops, Bentley has already registered the "Barnato" trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, covering electric vehicles, charging cables, and charging stations. The new vehicle will be built on Volkswagen Group’s premium electric PPE platform. Bentley CEO Frank-Steffen Walliser emphasized that the model will not support internal combustion or plug-in hybrid systems, ensuring it features a purely electric architecture.
