XPeng will unveil its new flagship SUV, the GX, in April. The vehicle has already been registered with China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Positioned as a full-size luxury SUV, the GX measures 5,265 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,800 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,115 mm, and features a six-seat layout. The exterior maintains XPeng’s minimalist design language, featuring split headlights, a clamshell hood, a floating roof, and full-width LED taillights. The trunk adopts a low-threshold “heaven-and-earth” tailgate design for easier access. In terms of specifications, the GX will be equipped with steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering systems, and will come standard with 21-inch wheels (with optional 22-inch wheels and staggered tires). Powertrain options include both extended-range electric (EREV) and battery-electric (BEV) variants. The EREV version pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with dual motors, delivering a WLTC-rated all-electric range of 320 km. The BEV variant offers either rear-wheel drive (270 kW) or all-wheel drive (430 kW), achieving a 0–100 km/h acceleration time in the four-second range. Built on an 800V electrical architecture, the pure-electric GX delivers a CLTC-rated range of 635 to 750 km.
