On March 19, Denza officially launched the second-generation Denza D9. The new model is equipped with BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery, supporting "5 minutes for a quick charge and 9 minutes to full charge." Even in low-temperature conditions (as low as -30°C), charging takes only three additional minutes. In terms of range, the plug-in hybrid variant achieves a pure-electric range exceeding 400 km, while the all-electric version reaches up to 800 km. Exterior-wise, the front fascia features a redesigned grille, continuing the diamond-cut styling while enhancing its three-dimensional appearance. For the powertrain, the front-wheel-drive version comes with a 340 kW front-mounted motor, while the all-wheel-drive variant adds an extra 70 kW rear-mounted motor, bringing the vehicle’s curb weight up to 3,015 kg. The new model has already appeared in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s (MIIT) 404th batch of vehicle announcements and is expected to launch in the first half of this year.
